Understanding regulatory policy? Through regulatory theory!
With the help of regulatory theory, delve deep into the fundamentals of regulatory policy – from its theoretical and philosophical origins to the influential thinkers and regulatory fathers such as Walter Eucken and Alfred Müller-Armack to the most important works of economic literature that have laid the foundation for this central economic policy model. This provides a comprehensive insight into the interplay of market mechanisms and state frameworks, which continues to shape the social market economy today and has made it one of the most successful economic models of the post-war period.

Politics with different perspectives
German regulatory policy is based on a social market economy with competition and social equality. Internationally, models such as Thatcherism and Reaganomics are present in the economy – characterized by deregulation and privatization. These various approaches are discussed in the Regulatory Policy section. Current partners who also engage in regulatory policy are also listed.
